The course is divided into three portions: Didactic Lectures, “Hands On” live model and mannequin instruction for Regional Anesthesia/Vascular Access Techniques, Spinal and Epidural and Problem Based Interactive Case
Scenarios.
Didactic content includes presentations on relevant anatomy and physiology, scientific and theoretical basis of acute and chronic pain, pharmacology, a broad range of ultrasound guided regional procedures, spinal and epidural anesthesia with examination of the evidence base respective of these disciplines. Crisis Resource Management and Enhanced Recovery After Surgery (ERAS) specific to Regional Anesthesia are integrated in this program of study.
