At the same time: I have started reaching out to the curators of several of the largest war museums in the country (Overloon Oorloog´s museum, Limburgse museum (in Venlo) and the Amsterdam War museum) to see if they can offer a financial contribution from their digital exhibitions funds, or in-kind support to show the experience once it is finished. Preferably both!
There may also be potential to get contributions from the many smaller war museums around the country and in so doing spread the cost but increase the size of the potential audience.
There are a number of charitable bodies (such as Het Nationaal Comite 4 en 5 Mei) who are actively seeking digital and new tech methods to engage younger audiences in this area of history.
They’re also specifically looking to keep the personal stories of those who experienced it alive, as their numbers dwindle. I will be talking to them to see if they have any options for support.
Additional support of this kind might be added to by an approach to the Imperial War Museum in London.
