For this specific informational interview, I reached out during my ISM class period through a variety of cold calls. I got lucky enough to get in contact with a few people, many who were willing to set up an interview right then. For others, I reached the voicemail and left a message. This second interview, however similar it may have been to the first interview in it’s conception, was very much unique in all other ways. The firm focused specifically on criminal law, and had two female attorneys. This really appealed to me because not only is this field mainly male-dominated but these attorneys take on around 80 cases total, split between the two of them. This gives them a unique perspective. That may not seem like much, but to give the proper amount of focus and attention to that many individuals is definitely a skill that took time to master. Overall, I’m very excited to keep moving forward and receiving new and intriguing outlooks on the field.
