So, just like that, I had my first interview. It was simultaneously nerve-wracking and thrilling to have to mentally prepare for the event in less than 24 hours. Luckily, I had been prepared in nearly every other necessary ways, thanks to the assignments in the ISM course, such as the interview questions, professional dress requirements. To add on top of all of this, the location of the meeting was in Dallas. Once I arrived in the parking garage, I had almost a bit of panic as I realized I had no clue where the lobby entrance was. Overall, I had such an amazing and informative time in more ways than I can even count. I learned what it meant to validate a parking ticket and also the way to conduct an informational interview with an actual person who has an actual career. In my opinion, I’d call that a productive week. I hope to keep adding on to this initial success, instead of stalling out now. Sometimes the scariest part isn’t just starting (which is rightfully terrifying), but it’s the concept of doing it all again that can be the most intimidating. It’s not going to stop me, though!
