In addition to the technical preparation, I have been rehearsing the speech to ensure that I am fully prepared for the day of.

On top of getting ready for my presentation on Monday, I have begun brainstorming ideas for my final product. I began this process aware of the fact that I wanted to do a project that was larger and would push me further than my original work did; however, I was unaware of what that was. My first thought was to do an expansion on my original work by continuing the research to look at how my results from the hippocampus compares to that of the other regions of the brain; however, I decided that this is not the path I would like to take. I then looked into the idea of doing a case study. I felt that a case study would be an incredible challenge, but as I thought about the concept, I began to worry about the confidentiality involved in a case study, which may be a complication in the formation of the product. In the end, I chose to do the rough draft of my final product proposal about creating a website about the different forms epilepsy can take and how each is treated. However, I will be going through the rough draft with my mentor at my first mentor visit, during which the focus of my project may shift slightly.
