Independent Study and Mentorship (ISM) is a unique and challenging program that provides students with the opportunity to gain experience in the field which they would like to enter after college. It is a program created for juniors and seniors at Frisco High School who are self-motivated and self-sufficient. The students conduct interviews with working professionals, eventually asking one to be their mentor. Once a student has a mentor, they go on weekly mentor visits, developing a relationship with a professional in their field of study. Each student in the program is able to select their own topic. The program gives students the chance to learn how to dress professionally, conduct interviews, and behave in a professional setting along with much more.
