This assessment was especially important because the analysis I did will later be applied to my final product. The case study I am creating for my final product is going to incorporate information about the roles of the different caregivers in the patient care process. I want to understand how others are involved in providing patients with the best possible care, which is the ultimate goal in any patient interaction. Looking into the people responsible for the process results in comprehension of the collaboration necessary for patient treatment to be successful. Patient care is about more than just one physician or medical provider. It requires a team, so I spent the week looking into how each person, at all stages in their careers, contributes to that collaboration, which hopefully will help guide me in my case study as the patients go through a series of steps which come with a series of caregivers. Understanding the dynamic will help me to more thoroughly analyze the case as I will be able to incorporate the different medical professionals the patient was dealing with each step of the way.
