My first proposal of the idea focused mainly on the patient's case itself; however, after discussion with my mentor, I realized that it would be exceptionally beneficial to my understanding of patient care to include the primary research that I am receiving at my mentor visits through my discussion with other caregivers involved throughout the entire treatment process. Therefore, whereas I initially expected my final product to be established around secondary research, I now have the added challenge of making the foundation of my case study centered around both primary and secondary research. While I am conscientious of the additional time and challenge that including the observations from interviews with the different caregivers; however, I felt that as the suggestion came directly from my mentor it was a challenge I was willing to take on, and after consideration of the suggestion, I felt that incorporating the primary research would help me to elevate the quality of my final product. Including the roles of the different caregivers in patient care also increases the extent of the foundation work that the project is serving.
