Rashon Medlock is a musician who has been carving out a path similar to artists like Tracy Chapman, India Arie, Darius Rucker and a host of other musicians whose music cannot be defined by one genre. His style is a fusion of musical influences from the world of Jazz, Gospel, Rock, and Soul with a classical flare.
Based in Jacksonville, Florida, Rashon has performed all over the south and eastern United States. In the south, he’s performed in Tampa, Gainesville, Jacksonville, and Lake City (FL), Albany, Waycross, and Atlanta (GA), New Orleans (LA), and Nashville (TN). He’s also had the opportunity to grace stages in pockets of upstate New York, Pennsylvania, Vermont, and as far north as the Canadian border.
He has also performed with regional and national touring acts and has been featured on BlogTalkRadio's Chuck and PJ Show (Detroit), Cosandra Calloway's 'Callywood' Radio Show (Los Angeles), The FlawdaGator Show (Palm Beach) Unheard Radio, and CBS Radio; his music can be purchased/downloaded here.
In 2009, Rashon released his first EP entitled ‘Stand and Deliver’ followed by a full length album release in 2012 entitled ‘Light, Love, and Life’. His most recent single ‘The Fray’ was released in 2015 and will be one of the many new songs to appear on his upcoming album release. Rashon has graced the stage as a conductor, an accompanist on various instruments, as an ensemble member, and as a solo artist.
