The skills group will be co-facilitated by Dr. Keng Shian Ling and Ms. Cloyee Wong. Dr. Keng is a doctorally-trained clinical psychologist who received her DBT training in the USA (Duke University) and Canada (Centre for Addiction and Mental Health). She routinely runs DBT workshops for clinicians in Malaysia. Ms. Cloyee Wong is a clinical psychologist trainee from HELP University, and she previously co-facilitated a DBT skills group under Dr. Keng’s supervision at HUKM.
Dr. Keng Shian Ling is a clinical psychologist specialized in treating adult psychopathology, with a focus on mood disorders, anxiety disorders, emotion regulation issues, and borderline personality disorder. She received her PhD in Clinical Psychology from Duke University (USA), and completed her clinical psychology residency at Centre for Addiction and Mental Health, Toronto, Canada. She holds an appointment as Associate Professor of Psychology at Yale-NUS College, and teaches courses in abnormal psychology and advanced clinical psychology. Dr. Keng has received training in cognitive behavior therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and other mindfulness-based approaches such as mindfulness-based cognitive therapy (MBCT). She routinely provides training and workshops on DBT.
