This week in ISM I have continued planning my final product by being in contact with the foster care agency, CK Family Services, the weighted blanket company, SensaCalm, as well as trying to plan a possible fundraising opportunity. Because SensaCalm responded to me and was so gracious, each blanket will now be around $80. I am still in the process of determining my overall donation goal, because some fundraising opportunities are still in the air. This week I contacted a lady who organizes the 'Happy Goat Yoga-for charity' and am in communication with her to try and partner for an event to raise funds for weighted blankets. Her organization, Here's Your Reminder, is a nonprofit who brings awareness to depression and uses their efforts to assist those who live with the disease. If all works out, I will be able to partner with them for a goat yoga event in early May, which is the month of the national foster care and national mental health awareness month. May is also the month of the final presentation, which will be perfect if all works out.
I have a mentor visit this coming week with Mrs. Cole and I am planning to have my press kit draft completed by then so she can review and revise it. This week I plan to contact the president of NCL so I can plan a meeting to go present at.
