Sunday Nights 6:45pm - 8:45pm |
September 18 2016 - May 7 2017
Youth Night is our Large Group night of Faith Formation for 6th -12th Grade. Throughout the year, the youth will have engaging opportunities to learn more about our great faith tradition, encounter Christ in prayer and through the Sacraments, and put their faith into practice in helping others around is through service opportunities. This all takes place while be surrounded by others on this journey together. Registration begins August 1, 2016. Youth Night will kick off on September 18, after the 5pm Mass.
Normally, in the Diocese of Fort Worth, Confirmation takes place Sophomore year, or later (age 15). At St. Catherine, it is the norm for a youth to be involved in Faith Formation (Youth Night) for at least two years prior to being Confirmed, with Confirmation Prep taking place during the last portion of the second year. During the Sophomore year (or preparation year if later), there will be orientation and a retreat in the fall, and additional prep sessions on Wednesdays in the Spring from 7:30pm- 9:00pm.
Saturday May 13 2017 | TBA
Throughout the year, we have organized opportunities to help make the outside world accessible to folks who are homebound by helping the the Dallas Ramps Project. These occur on Saturdays, from 7am until usually 2pm. Both youth and adults are needed, and space is very limited per Saturday.
Registration opens usually about a month before the scheduled project.
St. Vincent de Paul Society
St. Vincent de Paul is an outreach ministry that focuses on helping one person at a time. There are many different ways in which youth can help out from helping to keep the food pantry organized in the midst of it's constant in and out, to learning how to go with adults and visit, talk with, pray with individuals.
To learn more, please leave a message for Michael Norman at 972-394-3350 or be a guest at our meetings. We meet the second and third Thursday of the month from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at Siena Hall - St Catherine of Siena Parish.
We are truly blessed by many stepping up to help be present and help walk with and guide our youth in their faith. We also love hanging out with each other at various times throughout the year whether it be planning something youth oriented or even during the event, or just hanging out together at other times.
In light of that, if you're feeling a call to help out with young people, we'd love to help put you in position to serve. There are many different avenues in which you can help out. Please contact us, and we'll take some time to discern which areas the Lord might be leading you into service to our young people.

Who we are
Co-Coordinator of Youth Ministry | Youth Music
Husband of one (Bel), father of three (Eli, Aliyah, and Bennie), he's been at St. Catherine since November of 2010. He is our resident New Orleans Saints fan, and guitar guru at the 5pm Sunday evening Liturgy. Please don't be offended if you hear phrases you might not want to repeat while he's setting up for Youth Night during football season.
Co-Coordinator of Youth Ministry
Home grown, super talented, and sought out by many, we are super blessed to have Ali with us! Whether praying, singing, speaking, or doodling, she is a shining light of the joy and love of Christ with us and among us. She also helps keep Mike from utter distraction in the midst of planning together so much of what goes on during the year.
Coordinator of Confirmation
One of our most seasoned vets here in Youth Ministry, Steve helps make sure our Youth are prepared for Confirmation. This is only his volunteer position! The NDA prevents us from sharing much more on what his full time job involves, beyond cryptic calls from certain government agencies from time to time. 😉
