It’s officially original work season in ISM! My mentor and I have been working hard and having lots of fun coming up with this event that I’m calling Anxiety Acts! I’m super excited to get the word out about the need of self-compassion and self-trust in our society. By the end of last week, I had the flyer finished so now I can begin posting them around the school! I also worked more on the presentation that I’m going to give at the event. December 1st is the big day! This week is the last week before Thanksgiving break, and it will be so nice to have the extra time to work out all of the details before my event the week after that. In ISM class we’re beginning to prepare for the Research Showcase in January, so I’m also getting my guest list and invites for that together. I also gave my research speech last week, and I would say that it went pretty well. I still need to work on using fillers less. Unfortunately the video didn’t have any audio, but I got some good feedback from peers and Coach Goff that I was able to use to assess myself! It’s much easier to give speeches this year than it was last year. ISM has helped me grow as a professional and a public speaker!
