Well, this is it. Final Presentation Night is this week, and after that I’ll be graduating. I can nearly number the days left of high school on my hand, and I’m excited for sure, but I also know that it’s going to be hard to leave everything that I’ve accomplished here behind. All of my work this year has led up to two moments: my presentation to the Department of Counseling, and now this. Once my presentation is over, a lot of my life will begin to change. Luckily, I’m prepared for a lot of it because of the experience this class has given me. Without ISM, I would be going into future interviews completely blind. I wouldn’t have a digital portfolio to present to professors and future employers. Most of all, I wouldn’t have been able to make the connections with my mentors and their peers. It’s a huge comfort to know that I have professionals I can come to when I finish my Master’s degree. It’s also reassuring to know that I can contact Vanessa with any questions I have about college. This may be the end of my ISM journey, but it is only the beginning of the long road to accomplish my dreams.
