I made a ton of progress on my final product this past Saturday by getting a large chunk of my filming done! Thanks to my friends that volunteered, I was able to interview 6 people and get all of that footage. This footage will be the main chunk for the video that I will make and hopefully get sent out to parents and teachers of FISD. I was impressed with how vulnerable and willing everyone was to talk about their struggles. As I was filming my friends give their responses, I got a rush of feeling that told me that I was on the verge of creating something great. In my upcoming mentor visits, Vanessa and I will be doing some more filming of ourselves that will tie the videos together. The challenge now will be teaching myself how to edit. I’d like to end this blog by letting everyone know that I’ve finally committed to a college! I’ll be a longhorn at the University of Texas at Austin this fall. With the overwhelming college process slowing down, it really feels like senior year is starting to come to a close. Now I just have to focus on editing all of my footage and preparing for my presentation next month!
