This week was huge for ISM! I got 3 interviews done, all one day after the other, and officially completed the five required interviews. This is such a shift from last year! I’m hoping that now that I’m more on top of things, I’ll be less stressed by the time the next six weeks starts. Two of my interviews were with marriage and family therapists, so seeing the difference between that profession and the traditional licensed counselor was very interesting! My last interview was with a music therapist, which was something I had been meaning to get accomplished for a while. My mentor last year always told me that I at least had to check it out, since it combined my interest in therapy and music. I immediately knew who I wanted to ask, and I’m excited to announce that Vanessa Sanford will be my mentor for this year! Our interview had me very excited for the year, and I know that feeling will continue as we begin mentor visits. Vanessa has a very creative spirit and lots of courage, so I know that she will be a valuable mind to have for both my original work and final product!
