The end is really coming close! I rehearsed my speech for final presentation night on Friday and luckily I didn’t go 5 minutes over the suggested time like I did last time! I did find myself talking rather quickly though, so I think I’ll cut more information out of the beginning so that I have more time to talk about original work and final product. I had my last mentor visit with Vanessa earlier this evening, and it was pretty sentimental. I’ll see her for the last time for a while next week for my presentation. I’m so grateful to have gotten the opportunity to work with her. During our visit, we talked a lot about how the night will go, and the rest of the time was mostly personal. I got some college advice from her. Somehow, Vanessa knows people everywhere we go. Even in Austin she’ll be able to provide me with connections to the therapist network. I’m also very lucky that she knows a lot about UT, since her son goes there and she often travels down there to speak and participate in seminars. We agreed that we would meet up for lunch whenever I was in town, but first I need to make it through final presentation night next week!
