This week in ISM I’ve really started to log the hours for my original work. It’s so nice to be so on top of it this year. ISM 2 is considerably less stressful than ISM 1. My mentor and I solidified some check point dates for parts of my work, and we still have yet to finalize a day that the case study will happen. I’m super excited about putting everything into motion! Anxiety in teens feels like such a good niche for me, and I always envisioned myself working a lot with teens in my practice. Vanessa has been such a good role model for me so far, and this original work is totally different from the one I did last year. The writing exercise is much more hands on, and anxiety is definitely something that affects a much larger group of people. I hope that my work will help get the word out about how beneficial forms of art are for the mind. I feel like it’s a subject that’s slowly on the rise in the medicine world. Everything that I’ve read has talked about how beneficial art is for the mind, and I feel like if more people knew what I did, art would be administered in a lot more places. I’m excited to continue my work!
