This week in ISM marked the passing of one of the major events of the year; the Business Symposium! I wasn’t nervous at all this year to meet professionals and interact with students. Thanks to ISM, my palms don’t get sweaty anymore while conducting interviews! I’m much more confident in myself this year. The symposium was great. At the first station, I actually met an ISM 1 student studying psychology and ended up giving her a handful of business cards for people that I interviewed. I interacted with her and many others, and when I got home that day I had invites waiting for me on LinkedIn. The two people that I interviewed were lovely as well. One gentleman ended up emailing me that evening, thanking me for presenting myself so professionally. My whole experience at the symposium this year was more commending than anything. It reassured me that I’m able to take on anything this class can throw at me. Speaking of challenges, I’m foreseeing my final product being a huge commitment. I got to visit with my mentor again this week and we’re still flowing with creativity for my projects. I can see how much I’m going to have to devote myself to my projects, but I’m also very excited to get started. This week I’ll continue studying anxiety more in depth and the other emotions that coincide with it.
