Today I had my meeting with the Counseling Department, and it went way better than expected! Ironically, I was experiencing some anxiety symptoms the night before, and even dreamed about the meeting not going as planned, but luckily it turned out to be a wonderful start to my morning! Everyone on the team was very impressed with the videos, and with the results of the survey. What they loved most about my final product was the abundance of student voice in it. I’m glad that the department saw value in my work. When I opened up the discussion to using my product across FISD, they jumped at the idea. Many of them could immediately come up with events that they could use my work in, and the head of the department even mentioned that she would love to show my work to the superintendent! I was overwhelmed with happiness, and now I can say that I’m very proud of everything that I’ve accomplished this year in ISM. I can’t believe that I can officially say that I’m completely done with my final product. Over 30 hours of blood, sweat, and amateur video editing have finally paid off. I’m looking forward to seeing the impact that my work can have.
