Play the bad guy
Aren't you tired of playing with goody two shoes knights and squires? In HellKeeper you'll be able to wield the powers of darkness to slay, ignite and annihilate anyone who stands in your way!
Choose your hero
An ever increasing pool of Champions of darkness join the fight each day. Slay your foes with a magic scythe, rip their guts with a giant axe, animate their corpses with lighting and much, much more!
Fight the good guys
Even the punniest can present a serious threat to the Gates of Hell if left alone. Now imagine thousands of them pouring out of dozens of portals everywhere. Knights, archers, assassins, priests and whatever soul comes out is yours for the taking!
Campaign Missions
The story of HellKeeper and the learning center for new Heroes before they are thrown in the fray. New missions will be added periodically to test your skills and provide many rewards!
Endless mayhem
The core mode of HellKeeper. Fight for the dominance of Hell in the eternal fight between Light and Dark and your own personal merit. Alone or with a friend, slay as many poor souls you can before you are overrun and dominate the online leaderboards!
Brawl Arena
Want to try out a new Hero? Want to polish your skills? Want to settle a score with a friend? Then the arena is for you. In here you can practice against the AI to learn the basics or practice advanced strategies. Of you can bring a friend and see who's the last man standing!

"Like in all the fantasy stories, in games there are good guys and bad guys. Hellkeeper doesn't break this rule, but it follows a different logic."
The game started development and flourished as a project for the courses of Game Development Methodology and Multi-Agent Systems in our Information Systems and Computer Engineering master degree at Instituto Superior Técnico.
Nominated for Best Art and Best Game, and winner of Best Art in the Playstation Awards 2016.
Meet the TEAM:
Carlos Margarido
Game Designer
The team’s Game Designer and backup programmer. Carlos came up with the original concept of the game and is in charge of designing (and sometimes program) the maps, heroes, enemies and abilities.
Tiago Cardoso
Lead Programmer
The team’s Lead Programmer. Tiago is in charge of implementing the various systems and concepts that the rest of the team comes up with. He also micro manages the rest of the team with programming tasks.
Luís Oliveira
AI Developer
The team’s artificial intelligence developer. Luís is in charge of designing and implementing the enemies’ AI. His most prized work are the behaviour trees that create the synergies between the various enemies.
André Santos
Artist
The team’s artist. André is in charge of modelling and texturing the various models the game’s characters need. From swords and helmets to flags and the game’s logo, all that falls into his domain.
