This week in ISM was certainly an exciting one! I had the privilege of touring the Dallas Cowboys world headquarters- The Star. Seeing the world-class facilities the Cowboys have created truly showed me their dedication to achieving excellence in every sphere of the organization. I was humbled that I get to complete my mentorship with such an organization, and I was inspired to strive to be my best in all of my future endeavors! Experiencing the rich history of the Cowboys, and the hard work of their passionate employees, allowed me to see that anything is possible when an organization stays true to itself and the public it serves.
Furthermore, I received some exciting news about my Final Product. My mentor, Leah, said that she would love to bring me to the first round of the 2018 NFL Draft! If possible, I would receive credentials and get to experience draft day with the Cowboys PR team. On top of that, Leah said that I could dedicate a whole day to shadowing her as she oversees an upcoming community relations project with Cowboys players. Both of these opportunities will allow me to see firsthand what it takes to plan and execute a successful PR project, as well as the steps one must take along the way. I am thrilled to see where the rest of the semester takes me!
