This week in ISM was a productive one. I achieved my goal from last week to be more productive. I furthered my research for my original work. I researched yet another company that related to question of “Why?”. This week, I was able to look into a company that had failed. I added this to this list of Toys R Us and Blockbuster; Radio Shack. I was able to successfully look into just how they failed. Their competitors were becoming way more dominant than them and customers began to favor them instead. Some of the major customers include Amazon, Walmart, and Best Buy. These customers were one of the major reasons for the decline of Radio Shack. They were just overall offerring better things to the customers. I learned a lot from this. I learned that I need to keep up with my competitors and not slack behind, because if I do, the gap will only grow larger and larger. I compared Radio Shack to my own mock company, Nair Technologies. In fact, out of all the companies I have researched, this one company is the most similar to it. This is why I was able to learn so much from it. Going into the next week, I plan on researching a company that actually answered the question of “Why?” to become successful.
