Unfortunately, my mentor was out of town for the majority of my Christmas break, so I was unable to go on any mentor visits during the days off. Nevertheless, I still had a couple projects to complete in preparation for the Research Showcase. The Research Showcase is an event for all ISM students in the Frisco School District to convene and present their research and mentor experience from the first semester to anyone who wishes to listen. It takes place at the star in Frisco every year, and students invite their family, teachers, friends, and mentors. It is one of the major highlights of being in ISM, and I thoroughly enjoyed my experience at the event last year. To prepare for the research showcase, I spent a few hours preparing my display board over the break, ensuring that it encompasses all of my research.
