I’ve made plenty of progress in reaching out to doctors and surgeons this week. I was able to conquer my fear of making phone calls to medical professionals, something that has never been a skill set of mine. My parents constantly remind me how important it is to be able to talk on the phone with adults, and seeing this notion played out in a different context really helped me realize that my parents know what they’re talking about. Fortunately, this week I was able to set up 3 informational interviews.

Furthermore, as the week was light on research assessments and actual assignments that are due in the class, it was a perfect opportunity to work ahead on upcoming projects. As Coach Goff likes to remind us, the next month and a half in ISM is to be one of the most demanding and time consuming periods of the year. With research and interview assessments due biweekly, I felt it would be a good idea to get ahead as best as possible, eliminating my desire to procrastinate.
