Furthermore, I spent the week continuing my search for a mentor, finding contacts and networking my connections anywhere and everywhere. I reached out to dozens of professionals in the field of robotic surgery, which, may I add, is a hard group to come across. While I only have 2 interviews currently confirmed, I plan on growing this number so I can better evaluate my mentor options and learn as much as I can in the field. While many professionals haven’t returned my emails or calls, this is only a minor setback that I am confident I will overcome.
In other news, my final resume was due on Friday, September 22nd. Armed with a professional business suit and said resume, I looking forward to continue tackling the professional world in weeks to come.
