By Medical City Plano standards, in order to become an approved student in the hospital you must complete a variety of certain requirements. For me, this constituted an online government mandated background check, an 80 page form, and the submission of my shot records. What has been holding me back from attaining official status is my vaccine records. The hospital requires a special annual TB screening, a test that very few people actually have done here every year in America. However, I am scheduled to get this TB test done in a few days, which should hopefully resolve this issue.
From here, if all goes well, I will finally be able to regularly visit my mentor! I look forward to getting his feedback on my Final Product proposal and calendar, as I know his knowledge and expertise will help me make my project the best it could possibly be. I can’t wait to update this blog with all of the experience and knowledge I will be gaining in the future of my ISM journey.
