I
saw you standing there with your eyes turned heaven-ward.
Tears
upon your face showed me that something beautiful had occurred. Actions
speak louder than words, or so they say.
Still
silence was broken by some words I won't forget.
Your
voice like a whisper from your heart you said, "I
believe that these things are true. What more can I do?"
Chorus:
If
you heed these words tonight,
you'll find
Your
heart was true. But,
if you forget these things you've felt inside,
What if
they don't come back to you?
It's your
choice.
Don't
take my words as truth. Follow
the voice
of light that will lead you.
Verse 2:
My
mind wanders through places that I know and love. These
experiences that I don't speak often of.
I held
them close to my heart
Right
from the start.
If
I forget these precious things that I know now, I
pray the feelings and emotions will return somehow.
You
see, they're worth much more than gold.
They
could never grow old.
Chorus
Self Control
Your heart and your passion, what's missing is rational thought. You can't seem to reason and that's why you're bleedin' in the dark
Chorus:
Will you take control, Or will you lose your soul tonight?
YOu've come and gone so far, don't leave it all behind
You say your heart is unsure. Didn't you make up your mind?
Remember what you're here for. Please come towards the light.
Are you proud? Will you now Realize what's at stake somehow?
Verse 2:
Your heart will be broken with words left unspoken from your soul. Opportunities will come so will you stay or will you run from the cold?
Chorus
Take control. DOn't lose your soul tonight x2
Take control. don't lose your soul tonight (your heart and your passion what's missing is rational thought.)
Take control. don't lose your soul tonight (You can't seem to reason and that's why you're bleedin' in the dark.)
Take control. don't lose your soul tonight. (Your heart will be broken with words left unspoken from your soul)
Take control. DOn't lose your soul tonight. (Opportunities will come, so will you stay or will you run from the cold?)
Chorus
Time is running out
Verse 1:
Will you meet the sunrise? Embrace the day. Find your way.
It will open your eyes, and lead the way. It'll be ok
It's a new day again. It's this same old trend. Soon your time will come to an end.
Chorus:
This is your chance now. Take it before it's too late. Gain faith somehow. You never know how much time you have left. It's your life and that means you have responsibility to be what you want be. You're getting older.
Verse 2:
Will you chase the sunset, And all the things that you meant? Will you hold with regret all the things that you said?
Don't waste your time. Open your mind. Take all these things and leave them behind.
Chorus
Will you meet the sunrise? Embrace the day. Find your way.
It will open your eyes, and lead the way. It'll be ok.
Keep moving forward
Verse 1:
I've been
calling your name softly,
But you
won't answer me,
Or so it
seems.
Help me
figure out this picture
Of what
my life
Is meant
to be.
I've come
so far.
I've
stumbled, I've fallen,
But I
kept on calling your name,
And it's
strange That life
keeps on going, But I
feel the same.
Verse 2:
All the
chances I've missed With
Doors unopened. I wish That I
could go back in time to try again.
But
that's not the way works you see. one shot
is the way it's supposed to be. Yeah, what's the point if it's all thrown away at the end?
I will
stand proud. The
things I've done, the battles won
And just
to think that I'm not done.
Though, I
I still know. When life
gets hard I'm not alone
Yeah,
There is a power beyond my own.
CHoose Carefully
Verse 1:
There was
a man who was looking for a path to take A way to
make things clear. He came
to a road with an intriguing sign that said, "Do
Not Enter Here."
He
questioned why curiosity ran high As he
searched for a why to get in. And why
he chose, no one really knows, But
that's where my story begins.
He got
around the fence no thought of recompense And got
on to the path just fine. The
dangers that await and the things at stake Seemed
never to enter his mind.
He
carried on this way thinkin' it'd be ok Oblivious
to what might occur. He
couldn't realize what would be his demise Because
his thinking was all a blur.
Chorus:
Oh, redeem
his soul From the
depths of misery and endless woe
Though he
will try, he cannot deny What be
revealed on the other side
Verse 2:
He went
down the path without looking back Not even
a casual glance And
what's worse the curse that came to him first When he
took this terrible chance.
The night
set in and the cold touched his skin And
helped him to realize his fate. He wanted
to go back now and return somehow, But you
see it was all too late.
Up yonder
he could see through the dark of the night Two
vibrant and glowing red eyes. He looked
closer to see what this creature could be, But the
darkness had it disguised.
With
cautious steps and quick shortening breaths
He
started to make out a face. A long
pointy chin and a dirty white grin Brought
to life his fears of this place
Chorus
Verse 3:
He
stopped dead in his tracks and nearly collapsed At the
sound of this creature's voice. A whisper
a growl that would make your skin crawl, It said,
"Now you've got to make a choice."
The
creature was standing at a fork in the path And it
gestured first to the right. It
said," This path will take you back where you came from, But not
to your delight."
And he
said, "What do you mean not to my delight?" It said,
"I mean exactly what I said." "The
shame the scorn you'll wish you weren't born. You'll
nearly wish you were dead."
Tears
welled up in his eyes as he came to realize The
consequence of what he had done. This
creature had spoken and his heart, it was broken And now
there was nowhere to run.
Chorus
Maybe out
of frustration or fear of humiliation He said,
"Sir, now, what is your name?" It said,
"You don't really need it and the reason you seek it
Is to
find someone else to blame."
He
continued, "What is this place? Can't it be erased?" It said,
"I thought that you'd never ask." You want
to be forgotten and your choices that were rotten? Then go
down this other path."
Then
emerged from the wood a man so humble and good He said,
"Son, that would be a mistake. You see,
those people they love you, and they want what's best for you. This is
not the road you should take."
"Now, let
me take the blame, I'd rather soil my good name Then to
have you live in misery." And with
that man I walked and we talked and
talked About
this new life I would lead
Chorus
(revised):
Oh, he's
redeemed my soul From the
depths of misery and endless woe Now I can
try because I can confide In the
man who dwells on the other side.

Farewell for now
I know
they say that good things come to an end, But it's
so hard to say good bye to good friends And it's
something that get's me in the heart.
And yes I
know that it's my time to move on, But it
doesn't mean that the pain is gone. It just
gives me hope that things won't fall apart.
Chorus:
I know
that I will see you again someday. Whether
in this life or in the next, I can't say. But I
will say this I know I'll wish that I helped you in every way.
Verse 2:
Well, I
know that it's true that I'll remember you, But it's
hard to tell if you'll remember me too. As long
as I've helped then that's ok.
The
things you do for yourself will die with you. The help
you give will remain. I know that's true. It's what
made it worth it everyday.
Chorus x2
I know
they say that good things come to an end
But it's
so hard to say goodbye to good friends. So,
farewell for now until we meet again.
