BAILEY McFADEN recently graduated from the College of Charleston with a B.A. in Arts Management and Dance with a minor in Spanish. Bailey was born in Rockville, Maryland and moved with her family to Columbia, South Carolina in 2008. She danced with Columbia Music Festival Association (CMFA) with Mimi Worrell and John Whitehead and also studied with Regina Willoughby who is currently a principal ballerina with Columbia City Ballet. From 2011-2014, Bailey completed pre-professional training in classical ballet and traditional modern at the South Carolina Governor's School for the Arts and Humanities under the instruction of Stanislav Issaev, Irina Ushakova, Sandra Neels, Josee Garant, Miriam Gonzalez and Tracy Vogt.
In 2014, Bailey enrolled and performed with the College of Charleston Dance Department under the instruction of Gretchen McLaine, Kristin Alexander, Erin Leigh, Pamela O'Briant, Leslie Jones as well as guest artists Ashlee Ratigan, Tara Madsen Robbins, John Zullo and Michael Nickerson-Rossi. Through this program Bailey has had many opportunities such as performing in Veremonda l'amazzone di aragona in the 2015 Spoleto Arts Festival and eight of the College's productions including Trojan Women under the instruction of Evan Parry. The College of Charleston has also opened up the experience to study and dance in London, Paris, Amsterdam, Italy, Spain and Cuba. Through her arts management major she worked with the Charleston Symphony Orchestra and The Gaillard Center. Bailey recently worked with Charleston Stage Theatre's box office, College of Charleston's Emmett Robinson Theatre as a carpenter under Christian Crum and Stage Managed the 2018Chapel Moves dance concert.
Post-graduation, Bailey worked for the American Dance Festival as the Special Project and Administration Intern until the end of July 2018.
Bailey currently works for the College of Charleston's iCharleston program as the Dublin Site Director.
